What About Organic?
Home-Grown Farm is purposely not Certified Organic but everything we raise is "Grown to Organic Standards."
Chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides are not used on the Home-Grown Farm. We use well composted manure and organic matter for fertilizer. We hand weed our gardens and conscientiously use organically approved practices to control pests.
Our animals all live a comfortable and natural life, which in turn gives us a good product. Watching our cattle wander through the pastures and chickens freely walk on real grass eases their stress on their lives and ours.
Instead of being government certified we prefer keep our farm open and accessible to our customers. Please feel free to ask us about how your vegetables are grown and how your meat is raised.
